Off to another planet

Because this one, I had enough of it

The man on the screen tells me it’ll be a blast

The image of a new sky in a flash

With promises of a new opportunity

I can even own my own property

Just sign the paper and it’ll all be mine

But I didn’t read within the line

Because they forgot to inform me

What lies behind their false reality

We may be on another world but we’re still human

Meaning this place is tainted by the greed of man

Smashed by the fist of mega corporations

Working endless hours on their plantations

Can’t even taste the fruit of my hard labor

It’s stuffed in the mouth of the extravagant neighbor

I wonder if word got back home

Glamorous ads are probably filling their dome

Now I wished I never came

This world, off world; it’s all the same
