I came to the red planet for a new life

Brought my dog, kids, and my wife

Everything promised by the corporate smile

But we gave them an inch and they took a mile

Now I find myself working endless hours

Building cities that’s not even ours

We sleep underground for the rich on top

They own our lives like a robot

Govern not by laws, but by gold

Shut up and do what you’re told

The lash instills us all with fear

I question, why did I even come here
